I was married in 1995, but that went badly. During this time, I taught Spanish. I stayed with him for a decade, trying to work things out, but then I had to flee for my safety. I re-married in 2007, to an amazing man, my Irish Jeremy Adkins. I now have the privilege of staying home with our family, and teaching our children by means of homeschool. I am an advocate of homebirth, and natural living. I cloth diaper my babies (and hand sew those diapers), I make clothes for the family, when possible, make yogurt & cheese out of raw milk, and I object to OVER-medicating, although I recognize medicine as a valid science. (My husband is going to medical school to be a physiatrist. I speak English, Spanish, and a lot of Italian, and want to teach this (and a love of culture) to my children from birth. Thus, I will homeschool.

Immediately after our 1st baby's homebirth, October 18, 2008.
My husband Jeremy delivered our son, Finlay Liam Adkins, single handedly, after a quick 3 hour labor. We thought he would be a girl, for some reason, so we had a pink outfit (that I made) all ready. We changed him soon thereafter!

Our baby girl, Ophelia Alessandra Adkins, just one minute after her home waterbirth. She was delivered with just my husband present, just the way we wanted it. And just like our first baby's birth. She was born on June 7, 2010.
