Angelina was born in 1895 in the Providence of Caltanisetta, Village of Sommatino, Sicily Italy.

Angelina married Francisco Amico. There is no record in Ellis island of an Angelina Montagna or Angelina Amico between 1910 & 1913. The marraige is believed to have taken place between 1910 and 1912 possable in pittston, Pa.

Not much is known about Angelina. She was the first of the Montagna girls to emigrate to America. Angelina emigrated to America between 1910 and 1912.

In 1913 Angelina and Francesco had their first child. Joseph. They had three children.  All three of their children were born in Pittston, Pa.

Angelina passed away in 1919, during the great flu epidemic. She is buried at the Old Saint John's Cemetery in Pittston, Pa. At this writting her grave is slowly being devowered by the vegetation. Each year the cemetery weeds and grass are cut less and less. Family members try to keep the area surrounding her grave free of vegetation. The creeping vegitation is growing faster than it can be removed.

Some time after Angelina passed away Francesco and the children moved to Easton, Pa.

Francesco was born in 1885. He first came to america On June30, 1905. He returned to Italy and came to America the second time on March 14 1910. On his second trip he was listed as single. He passed away on June 19, 1951 and is buried at Easton Heights Cemetery.

 Joseph Amico

 

Joseph Amico, son of Angelina and Frank Amico, was born in 1913 in Pittston, Pa. He attended the public school system in Pittston, Pa. After the death of his mother Angelina he moved to Easton, Pa with his father Frank  brother Gasper and sister Rose. in Easton he attended the Easton Public School System.

As a young man joseph was interested in sports. Joe especialy liked boxing. He was known as "Kid Tiger the Fighting Hot Dog Man".

His name came about because Joe was a cheif at My Place Lunch in Easton, Pa. a favoriate, local, restaurant , on Northampton Street in Easton, which was one of the fore-runners of todays fast food establishments. He was a fast foot cheif in many local restaurants and diners. Joe worked at the Bethlehem Steel Plant in bethlehem, Pa. for 30 years before retiring.

Joseph was married for a brief time to Emma Prahm they had two other children Edith and Joseph.

Joseph married Leila Metz  in 1941and moved to Phillipsburg, Nj.

Joseph and Leila had three children: Ross, Leo, and Debbie.

Joseph was involved in a fatal automobile accident  on December 18, 1965 while enroute to visit his son Leo in North Princeton. Joseph was buried aside of his wife in the Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville, Nj.

Leila was born on April 10, 1918 in Easton, Pa. she graduated from Easton High School in 1936. She passed away  on July 17, 1962 after a long struggle with cancer. She is buried in the Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville, Nj.

 

Edith Amico Monte

Edith Amico, daughter of Joseph and Prahm Amico, was born February 24, 1938 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa.

Edith attended the Public School System in Phillipsburg, Nj.

In her youth Edith was a popular employee at the Parkway Diner in Phillipsburg, Nj.

Edith married but the marraige did not last.  This marrage produced one daughter Michelle. 

Edith retired from the James River Corp. in Forks Township, Pa. in 2007. 

Michelle Monte

Michelle Montie, daughter of Edith and       Montie, was born March 5, 1964 in Easton Hospital Wilson, Borough, Pa.

Michelle graduated from Easton Area high School in 1983.

Michelle has worked at the James River Corp in forks Township, Pa. and Graduated fron the Northampton County Community College, Bethlehem, Pa. in 19  . While at Northampton County Community College she persued a degree in Liberal Arts. She hopes one day to work in a recording studio.

On August 18, 2001 Michelle married Wayne Deemer.

They live in Palmer Township, Pa.

 

Richard Amico

Richard Amico, son of Joseph and Prahm Amico, was born in 1941 in Easton Hospital Wilson Borough, Pa.

Around 1960 he enlisted in the United States Navy. After being discharged from the Navy he eventualy setteled in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War. he was a member of the Hedricks-Rhodes Post 5206 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Hurbert Smith American Leigon post 77, the Disabled Veterans N.C. Post 14 and the Vietnam Veterans Association Post 5.

Richard Married Frances Cantrell. This marraige produced one daughter Mary.

On February 23, 1993 Richard passed away .

Mary Amico Hill

Mary Amico Hill a daughter of Richard and Frances Cantrell Amico     We have no information on Mary except she married and at the time of her father's death was living in Flat Rock, N.C. she has three children.

Ross Joseph Amico

Ross Amico, son of Joseph and Leila Amico was born October 9, 1942 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa.

Ross graduated from Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, Nj. in 1960.

The same day he graduated from high school he began work at Mack Printing company in Wilson Borough, Pa.

After high school he was a member of the YMCA wrestling team, he also did some boxing. As a teenager he spared with the future  heavy weight champ Larry Holmes.

Ross married but the marrage ended in divorce. This marrage produced three children. Ross jr., Angela Lynn, and Caroline joy.

Ross enjoys a good game of tennis and plays as often as he can. He also is active in a physical fitness program.

Ross Joseph Amico Jr.

 

Ross Amico jr, a son of Ross Amico, sr., was born on July 4, 1966 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa.

As a youngster he was involved in little league baseball.

Ross graduated from Easton Area High School in 1984. In his senior year he was in Who's Who in America High School Students.

Ross graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. In college he majored in English.  Also while in college, on every third weekend, he was the host of "Fine Tuning" a classical music program which originated at Mulenberg College in Bethlehem, Pa. In addition each Saturday he hosted a classical music program which originated at Lehigh County Community College, Orefield, Pa.

Presently Ross is the host of  "The Lost Cords" , a classical music program each Sunday morning on the Public Brocasting Station WWFM out of Philadelphia, Pa.

Ross is the owner of a book store in Philadelphia, Pa. 

Angela Lynn Amico

Angela Lynn Amico, a daughter of Ross Amico Sr., was born on May 13, 1969 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, Nj.

Angela graduated from Easton Area High School in 1987.  After high school she enroled at Northampton County Community College where she majored in biological Science.

After graduation she plans to transfer to the Palmer College of Chiropratic in Davenport, Iowa.

Angela married Steven Speer. This marrage produced one child.

Caroline Joy Amico

Caroline Joy Amico, a daughter of Ross Amico Sr., was born in 1974 at the Allentown Osteopatic Hospital in Allentown, Pa.

Caroline graduated from     High School in   .

In 1999 Caroline married Daniel Thompson.

Leo Bradly Amico

Leo, a son of Joseph and Leila Amico, was born in 1947.

Leo attended the Public School System in Phillipsburg, Nj. Early in his school years he was placed in special education classes. Leo needed more intensified daily care . On the advice of the doctors Leo was placed at Trenton State Hospital, Trenton, Nj. He was subsequntely  transfered to Totowa Developmental Center, Totowa, Nj.

Deborah Lee Amico

Deborah Lee Amico, a daughter of Joseph and Leila Amico, was born on August 30, 1951.

Deborah graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1969.

Deborah married but the marrage ended in divorce. This marrAge produced a daughter Rochelle.

At this original writting Deborah was a manager of a beauty salon in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Rochelle Weaver

Rochelle Weaver, a daughter of Deborah Amico, was born May 31, 1971 at Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, Pa.

Rochelle graduated from Bangor High School.

Rochelle married but the marrage ended in divorce. This marrage produced a daughter Leah.
